Richburg is one of the smallest
towns that comprise Chester County. It is located
within an hour of the metropolitan areas of Columbia,
South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina. It
is equidistant from the neighboring towns of Chester and
Lancaster. The town is easy accessible to Interstate 77
and State Highways 9 and 21. We are centrally

Chester is the largest town in Chester County and is 15
miles from Richburg. Chester is a historic town
with many historical buildings and monuments. One
particular monument, the Landsford Canal was built in
1823 to allow boats and barges to bypass rapids on the
Catawba River; this canal is now open as a state park.
This availability of hydroelectric power encouraged the
establishment of textile mills in the area. The
county boasts being under developed industrially and is

Lancaster,

The town of Lancaster is 15 miles
from Richburg. Lancaster is known as the “Red
Rose City” and was founded by settlers from Lancaster
Pennsylvania. The town covets the notoriety as the
birthplace of the 7th President of the United States of
America, Andrew Jackson and the Governor of South
Carolina, Jim Hodges. Lancaster is very service oriented
